Progress Status of Business Improvement Plan

SOMPO Holdings and Sompo Japan Insurance manage the progress of all 183 initiatives under the business improvement plan addressing fraudulent auto insurance claims and premium adjustment acts as of the end of February 2026. The initiatives are classified into four phases: "Initiative Consideration," "Initiative Start," "Effect Continuation," and "Effect Establishment," with about 80% of initiatives currently in the Effect Continuation phase. They are advancing concrete efforts to reform corporate culture, strengthen management systems, and resolve structural issues in the non-life insurance industry.

Corporate Culture Reform and Future Outlook

Focusing on enhancing frontline risk ownership, strengthening damage investigation systems, and promoting dialogue among employees, they are committed to transforming corporate culture. Through activities such as the monthly “Reflection Day” conducted across 1,074 workplaces nationwide and the utilization of the “Dorotama BOX,” which allows employees to directly convey negative feedback to management, they aim to deepen awareness of improvement. Moving forward, all executives and employees will unite to establish improvement activities as a core part of the corporate culture.
