Performance Overview

The operating income for the fiscal year ending March 2026 reached 204.5 billion yen, and net income attributable to owners of the parent company increased to 152.7 billion yen compared to the same period last year. The favorable performance of overseas energy businesses and upstream operations such as the Freeport LNG terminal in the U.S. contributed to the growth. ROIC is 5.8%, and ROE is 8.7%, indicating improved capital efficiency. Although domestic energy operations saw a decline due to lower gas sales prices based on the fuel cost adjustment system, overall, the medium-term management plan is progressing smoothly.

Shareholder Returns and Capital Policy

The dividend for the 27.3 fiscal year is planned at 130 yen/share (up 10 yen from last year), with an increase based on the DOE policy of 3.5%. Additionally, a new share buyback program with a limit of 80 billion yen has been approved, covering the period from May 11, 2026, to March 31, 2027. This move aims to enhance capital efficiency and strengthen shareholder returns. It is positioned as a flexible, long-term cash return measure aimed at achieving higher ROE.
