At the Board of Directors meeting held on April 30, 2026, director candidates to be submitted for approval at the 73rd Annual General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for May 26, 2026, were decided. Mr. Mamoru Sakamoto will be promoted to Representative Director and Executive Vice President, and Mr. Toshiya Saita is scheduled to be newly appointed as a director. Additionally, Mr. Hiroo Ishishita will be added as a director who is a member of the Audit and Supervisory Committee. Consequently, Mr. Toshio Saita, the current Representative Director and Chairman, is scheduled to retire. Multiple changes in officers including promotions, new appointments, and resignations will also take place in subsidiaries Marukyū Co., Ltd., Marumiya Store Co., Ltd., Marukyo Co., Ltd., and Aoki Shoji Co., Ltd., affecting positions such as Representative Director and Chairman.

Details of Subsidiary Officer Changes and Future Structure

Regarding changes in subsidiary officers, Mr. Hiroyuki Usagawa, Executive Managing Director of Marukyū Co., Ltd., will be promoted to Representative Director and President, while Mr. Yasuo Tanaka, the current Representative Director and President, is scheduled to become Chairman of the Board. In Marumiya Store Co., Ltd. and Marukyo Co., Ltd., several new director appointments and the assignment of part-time directors have been decided. Mr. Hiroo Ishishita will be newly appointed as Auditor, replacing the current full-time auditor Mr. Tomoyuki Fujii, who is scheduled to retire.
