Overview of Board Effectiveness Evaluation

Japan Lifeline has continued analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of its Board of Directors since 2018. For the fiscal year ending March 2026, the company conducted surveys with advice from external experts. All 13 directors responded, evaluating that the Board's roles and functions are appropriately fulfilled. Although active discussions and improved director training addressed previous issues, the promotion of DX and strengthening of cyber security are emerging as future challenges. The company plans to maintain ongoing assessments and improvements to enhance corporate value.

Future Initiatives and Challenges for the Board

The company will continue to regularly analyze and evaluate the Board’s effectiveness, striving to improve roles and functions. Particular focus will be placed on advancing digital transformation (DX), building IT infrastructure to handle crises, and establishing and operating cyber security management systems, aiming for sustainable enhancement of corporate value. The company intends to deepen discussions and training within the Board, strengthening transparency and risk management.
