Sec Carbon,Limited engages in the manufacture and sale of graphite electrodes for steel and carbon products in Japan, the United States, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and internationally. It offers aluminum smelting cathode blocks, artificial graphite electrodes, special carbon products, fine powders, etc that are used in electric arc furnaces for steelmaking; and carbon and graphite specialties and materials for use in the chemical, electrochemistry, machine, and metallurgy industries. The company also provides fine powder that is used in various industries, such as automobile paint, sliding materials, metallurgic uses, and batteries. In addition, it is also involved in research and development related to molten salt electrolysis. The company was formerly known as SEC Corporation and changed its name to Sec Carbon,Limited in October 2006. Sec Carbon,Limited was incorporated in 1934 and is headquartered in Amagasaki, Japan.
