Announcement of New Launch of Icelty® Tablets 100mg for Uterine Fibroid Treatment

Kissei Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. newly launched Icelty® Tablets 100mg (generic name: Linzagolix Olamine), an orally administrable GnRH antagonist for the treatment of uterine fibroids, on March 19, 2026. This product aims to improve symptoms of uterine fibroids, and development for endometriosis within Japan is also underway. Manufacturing and marketing approval was obtained on December 22, 2025.

Overseas Expansion and Social Significance

Overseas, Theramex UK Ltd. markets the product in Europe, where the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has also approved an additional indication for endometriosis. Technology licensees in Taiwan, South Korea, and Canada are advancing development. Uterine fibroids affect over 70% of women, particularly in their 30s and 40s, significantly impacting quality of life and social activities.
