Notice regarding Additional Bitcoin Purchases

Overview of the initiative

MetaPlanet Inc. completed additional Bitcoin purchases in the second quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2026 as part of its Bitcoin Treasury business. The acquisition totaled 35,886 million yen, with 2,823 BTC acquired. Total holdings increased from 40,177 BTC to 43,000 BTC, and the average acquisition cost rose from 12,712,055 yen to 15,331,542 yen before easing (explained in terms of overall average relative to the previous point). As a supplement, the net acquisition cost is approximately 12,093,091 yen per BTC, a figure after deducting Bitcoin income from the Bitcoin income business, which recorded sales of 1,747 million yen.

Capital management and financial impact

As a capital market transaction, 5,270,000 ordinary shares were issued upon exercise of the 27th stock acquisition rights. These funds were not earmarked for Bitcoin acquisition, and were funded using credit facilities, corporate bonds, and income from the business. The current total BTC holdings are valued at approximately 409 billion yen, and the capital structure includes preferred shares with a 4.9% dividend yield (Category B, MERCURY). The BTC yield remains at 6.6%.
