Astena Holdings Co., Ltd. manufactures and sells medicine-related products in Japan. It operates through four segments: Fine Chemicals, Health & Beauty Care, Medical, Industrial Chemicals Segment, and Social Impact Business Segment. The company's Fine Chemical segment offers value chain of pharmaceutical development and manufacturing; raw ingredient procurement; CMC research and development; commercial API production, and investigational drugs; contract manufacturing; new drug development; and drug discovery incubation business, as well as manufactures a variety dosage forms, including injectable, solid, semi-solid, and liquid dosage forms on contract. Its Health & Beauty Care, Food Segment provides OTC drugs, functional food ingredients, and cosmetic ingredients; butylene glycol, natural plant extract, sodium acetylated hyaluronate, tea-tree oil, yeast extract, dehydrate potato, tomato powder, and meat extract powder. The Medical Segment offers manufactures and sells semi-solid products, such as ointments, creams, and lotions; solid products, including tablets and powders for the generic drug market; vitamin c preparations, gargle, and generic skin external preparation. Its Industrial Chemicals Segment provides research and development of surface treatment chemicals; development of new manufacturing methods; products for PWBS, electronic devices, general platings, and semiconductors. The Social Impact Business Segment is involved in cooperative relationships with the local community, discovering local resources, and creating new businesses that lead to the resolution of social issues. The company was formerly known as Iwaki & Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Astena Holdings Co., Ltd. in June 2021. Astena Holdings Co., Ltd. was founded in 1914 and is headquartered in Chuo, Japan.
