OYO Corporation provides geological survey services in Japan and internationally. It operates through three segments: Disaster Prevention and Infrastructure, Environment and Energy, and International. The Disaster Prevention and Infrastructure engages in surveying and restoration design of areas damaged by natural disasters; forecasting damage, such as earthquakes, tsunamis, fires, etc. related to national and local governments disaster prevention plans; consulting on natural disaster risk surveys, loss forecasting, and countermeasures related to corporate business continuity plans; and building, installing, and updating monitoring systems related to natural disasters, including seismometer networks and volcano monitoring systems. This segment also offers inspection, diagnosis, and maintenance services for social infrastructure; survey, design, and measurement services for the development of resilient infrastructure; develops, sells, constructs, installs, and renews non-destructive testing products used for inspections and diagnoses; and constructs, installs, and renews environmental monitoring systems. The Environment and Energy segment provides consulting on surveys and countermeasures focusing on soil and groundwater contamination, asbestos, waste, etc.; surveys and consulting for global warming countermeasures and biodiversity conservation; geological survey consulting related to the construction, installation, and renewal of environmental monitoring systems; methane hydrate development research; support for the commercialization of renewable energy; Undersea3D resource exploration services; and develops and sells resource exploration equipment and systems. The International segment develops, manufactures, and sells non-destructive testing equipment and seismic observation systems, geophysical exploration equipment; and offers survey, design, and construction management services. OYO Corporation was founded in 1954 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
