Daido Metal Co., Ltd. decided at the Board of Directors meeting held on March 26, 2026, the changes in the board of directors, auditors, and executive officers effective after the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for June 26, 2026. Seigo Hanji will continue as Chairman and CEO, and Tomomitsu Furukawa as President and COO. Shigeaki Hakogoshi will be promoted to Director and Senior Executive Officer, and Shigehiro Kuwabara will be newly appointed as Outside Director. Multiple promotions and new appointments among executive officers have also been announced.

Profile of New Director Candidate and Retirees

The new director candidate Shigehiro Kuwabara, born on December 9, 1956, has served in the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Finance and Financial Services Agency, and as a Director of the Bank of Japan. He currently serves as Vice Chairman and Director of Aflac Life Insurance Company. He is scheduled to officially assume office on June 26, 2026. Additionally, Outside Director Kiyotaka Hoshinaga, Senior Executive Officers Akira Watanabe and Teruhiko Ochiai, Executive Officer Masahiro Nakano, and Advisor Yoshiaki Sato are scheduled to retire on the same date.
