JCR Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. has entered into an exclusive license agreement granting Italfarmaco rights to develop and commercialize JR-141, which has marketing approval in Japan, in the United States, Europe and Latin America. Following regulatory approvals, Italfarmaco will be responsible for sales and distribution, while JCR Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. will continue manufacturing. The agreement creates entitlement to an upfront payment, milestone payments, royalties and consideration for supply.

Outlook and Strategic Significance

This agreement expands strategic partnerships in rare disease areas and strengthens the cooperative framework, following the exclusive license agreement for givinostat in Japan signed in December 2025. By combining Italfarmaco's global development and distribution capabilities with the J-Brain Cargo technology, the partners aim to broaden new treatment options for patients with Hunter syndrome.
