Notice of Succession of Manufacturing and Marketing Approval and Asset Transfer for “Uris Tablets”

Overview of the Acquisition

Mochida Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. resolved at the Board of Directors meeting on March 30, 2026, to acquire the manufacturing and marketing approval of the gout and hyperuricemia treatment "Uris Tablets" held by Fuji Pharma Co., Ltd., along with related assets including intellectual property rights, and signed the contract on the same day. The acquisition price is 13.5 billion yen, with execution scheduled for June 30, 2026. Uris Tablets were launched in May 2020, and their sales for the fiscal year ending March 2025 were approximately 4.6 billion yen. The acquired assets will be recorded as intangible assets with no liabilities.

Outlook and Structure

Since the acquisition execution date falls within the next consolidated fiscal year, there will be no impact on consolidated results for the fiscal year ending March 2026. The consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 will be announced at the time of the financial results release for the fiscal year ending March 2026. Mochida Pharmaceutical will conclude a manufacturing consignment contract with Fuji Pharma, which will continue manufacturing and supply the product to Mochida Pharmaceutical. Mochida Pharmaceutical will continue sales and information provision activities as the marketing authorization holder to contribute to healthcare.
