Performance Overview

Consolidated revenue for the first quarter of FY2026 amounted to JPY 67,564 million, a 0.6% increase year-over-year. Meanwhile, operating income declined 25.8% year-over-year to JPY 3,438 million, and operating profit also decreased by 14.6% to JPY 4,124 million. Net income attributable to owners of parent was JPY 2,055 million, down 28.6%. Although revenue saw a slight increase supported by growth in international operations, profits declined mainly due to the domestic processed foods business. Foreign exchange effects contributed positively to some extent, but increased selling, general and administrative expenses compressed earnings.

Segment Performance and Financial Position

By segment, revenue from the international business rose by JPY 1,883 million year-over-year, contributing to overall revenue growth. The domestic processed foods segment experienced a slight decrease in revenue and lower operating income. The beverages segment saw reduced revenue and deteriorated profit margins. Regarding financial position, total assets were JPY 359,957 million, a 4.2% decrease compared to the previous fiscal year-end, while interest-bearing debt declined 7.6% to JPY 78,768 million. Equity attributable to owners of parent decreased by 0.7% to JPY 189,300 million.
