Business results overview

For the first quarter of the consolidated cumulative period, sales were 43,680 million yen, up 8.0% YoY; operating income was 1,127 million yen, up 20.5%; ordinary income was 942 million yen, up 31.8%; all showing improvement. By segment, the device business remained robust, with demand from automotive and data center sectors and the impact of a weaker yen contributing to sales of 39,214 million yen and segment profit of 780 million yen. Meanwhile, the solution business posted sales of 4,193 million yen and segment profit of 233 million yen, with increases in both sales and profit. Net income declined due to the effect of recording gains on the sale of land and buildings at the Osaka branch in the previous year’s quarter.
