Appointment of director candidates

At today's board meeting, it was decided to appoint as director candidates Representative Director and President Masahide Sekine, Corporate Headquarters Chief Masatoshi Inoko, Technology Business Headquarters Chief Norihiro Onishi, and outside director candidate Reiko Iwato, among others. Note that outside director candidates have already been filed as independent directors. The formal resolutions on appointment of candidates are expected to be made at the 41st ordinary general meeting of shareholders on August 27, 2026 and at the subsequent board meeting. Audit & Supervisory Committee candidates are being determined similarly, and the retiring party is Mr. Toyama.

Important notes and future procedures

Each candidate has no special conflicts of interest, and outside director candidates have been filed as independent directors. We have executed liability for damages contracts and director/officer liability insurance contracts, and plan to renew with the same terms upon next renewal. If approved, the insured status will continue under the insurance policy.
