Background and Purpose of Land Acquisition

KOKUSAI ELECTRIC Co., Ltd. has decided to acquire approximately 43,000㎡ of land owned by Tonami City, Toyama Prefecture, adjacent to its Tonami Plant which commenced operations in October 2024, at a price of about 1 billion yen. This is aimed at expanding production capacity in anticipation of medium to long-term growth in the semiconductor-related market. The company plans to enhance production and R&D by utilizing existing supply chains and logistics networks to respond to the accelerated growth of the semiconductor manufacturing equipment market.

Future Schedule and Impact on Financial Performance

The land delivery is expected to be completed around September 2026 following approval by the Tonami City Council. This fixed asset acquisition is not expected to impact financial results for the current fiscal year. Additional disclosures will be made as necessary in the future.
