Overview of Organizational Changes

Effective April 1, 2026, Daiichi Kogyo Seiyaku Co., Ltd. will establish the Business Planning Department within the Business Headquarters to strengthen cross-sectional functions and accelerate the realization of the new medium-term management plan 'SMART 2030.' Within the Life Science Headquarters, the Planning Department and Sales Department will be merged to form the Planning & Marketing Department, aiming to rapidly reflect customer needs into strategy and maximize profitability. Additionally, BioCocoon Research Institute Co., Ltd. will be integrated into the Kyoto Central Research Institute to promote acceleration and enhancement of research and development.

Details and Intent of Personnel Transfers

Personnel transfers will be implemented for executives and department heads. Key changes include Mr. Shinji Shimizu's promotion from Managing Director to Senior Managing Director, Mr. Jiro Owan assuming the role of Executive Officer and Head of the Electronics & Information Sales Department, and Mr. Hisakizo Miyamoto appointed as Vice Head of the Life Science Headquarters and Head of the Planning & Marketing Department. These changes aim to optimize the organizational structure and strengthen cross-departmental collaboration functions, thereby improving management efficiency and enhancing competitiveness.
