Background and termination of the joint research

Since July 2025, the company has conducted joint research with Kyushu Institute of Technology, with the contract term expiring on June 30, 2026. The joint research is being treated as a milestone, and an end report has been received. Going forward, the company plans to commercialize and scale up the成果. The goal is to reduce environmental impact and enable low-cost mass production, achieving outcomes in lead-free material development, interface modification technology, and low-temperature manufacturing processes.

Future developments and outlook

Utilizing design insights of lead-free materials, we will advance verification of large-area device performance, durability improvements, and mass-production process compatibility. We will consider creating demand by leveraging the characteristics of flexible solar cells and establishing a domestic manufacturing framework. While efforts toward commercialization and mass production are being pursued for earlier rollout, there is no current decision to commercialize or mass-produce, and the impact on consolidated results for the fiscal year ending December 2026 is expected to be minor.
