Monthly sales for the fiscal year ending March 2026 showed steady growth with total stores at 111.3% YoY and existing stores at 106.8% YoY. February sales recorded a significant increase with total stores at 129.1% YoY and existing stores at 123.2% YoY.
For February 2026, total store sales increased 7.2% year-over-year, existing store sales were flat at 100.0%, with 3 new store openings and no closures.
January 2026 sales at the Ginza flagship store decreased approximately 16% year-over-year. Duty-free sales were affected by a decline in visitors from China, but sales of luxury brands and women's apparel to domestic customers remained steady compared to the previous year.
For December 2025, Sugi Pharmacy existing store sales increased by 0.7% YoY; total store sales increased by 2.3%. The drugstore segment’s existing store sales declined 2.5%, while the dispensing pharmacy segment grew 9.7%. In December, 9 new stores opened, 3 stores closed, bringing the total store count to 2,309.
Sales at the Ginza store in December 2025 decreased approximately 10% year-over-year. The decline was mainly due to reduced duty-free sales, but domestic customers' sales of women's apparel rose about 8%, resulting in an overall increase of approximately 2%.
