In addition, it sells reagents and devices of microbiological test for food poisoning bacteria and environmental inspection; and offers nucleic acid amplification method, as well as provides various types of automated analyzers. The company was formerly known as Nihon Eiyokagaku Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Eiken Chemical Co., Ltd. in 1969. Eiken Chemical Co., Ltd. was incorporated in 1939 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
