About

ESCON REIT was established on August 26, 2016, with ES-CON ASSET MANAGEMENT Ltd. (hereinafter the “Asset Manager”) as the organizer, based on the Act on Investment Trusts and Investment Corporations (Act No. 198 of 1951, as amended; hereinafter the “Investment Trust Act”), and listed on the Real Estate Investment Trust Securities Market of Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (hereinafter the “Tokyo Stock Exchange”) on February 13, 2019 (securities code: 2971). Afterwards ESCON REIT believes that, as population decline and concentration of population in major metropolitan areas continues, the demand to live in highly convenient major cities or areas with easy access to large cities will remain stable. Also, ESCON REIT believes that in order to support affluent lifestyles for people living in these areas, ESCON REIT requires commercial facility, residence and Assets aimed at creating a sustainable society, which is expected to solve diverse social issues in everyday life that affect local communities, such as declining birth rates, aging populations, environmental and energy issues, labor and education issues, and problems wrought by natural disasters. ESCON REIT defines these assets as “lifestyle-focused assets” and invests in lifestyle-focused assets located mainly in the five major metropolitan areas. Based on the above investment policy, ESCON REIT will seek to maximize unitholder value by aiming for more steady growth of assets under management. ESCON REIT now owns 38 properties with a total acquisition price of 71,518 million yen as of the end of the current fiscal period.
