Overview of Results

In the 2Q cumulative period, revenue was 10,780 million yen, operating profit 1,240 million yen, and adjusted EBITDA 1,461 million yen. Profit increased significantly versus the same period last year, driven mainly by contributions from M&A and restraint on depreciation for fixed assets of stores (2Q cumulative: ▲144 million yen). Domestic store openings continue, and with a rise in customer spend per visit and revisions to services, sales and margin improvements are sought. On the other hand, due to the Middle East situation, near-term store-opening environments remain uncertain.

Outlook and Risks

The full-year plan contemplates revenue of 22,897 million yen and operating profit of 2,400 million yen. As of 2Q, operating profit is progressing at over 50% of the plan, and the continuation of M&A effects and optimization of fixed costs are expected to lift profit. However, geopolitical uncertainties and cost trends such as raw materials and labor costs could cause earnings fluctuations.
