Overview of Results

Sanyo Chemical Industries recorded consolidated revenue of 127.8 billion yen (down 10.1% YoY) for the fiscal year ending March 2026. In terms of profit, thanks to favorable conditions in the semiconductor segment and supply chain streamlining, operating profit increased by 18.6% to 10.007 billion yen, and net profit attributable to owners of the parent surged by 276.6% to 15.637 billion yen. Despite the impact of exiting the superabsorbent resin business and intensifying competition, we promoted cost reduction and structural reforms, improving profitability. The consolidated financial position also improved, with the equity ratio reaching 81.4%.

Future Outlook and Impact on Shareholders

Looking ahead, despite rising raw material prices and geopolitical risks, we will continue to focus on high-value-added businesses and structural reforms, aiming for sales of 150.0 billion yen (up 17.3% YoY). Operating profit is expected to remain flat at around 10 billion yen, while net profit is projected to decline. However, dividends are planned to be 175 yen annually (87.5 yen × 2 times) as part of shareholder returns. Our policy is to maintain a stable dividend and preserve the equity ratio to enhance long-term shareholder value.
