Overview of Financial Performance

Net sales for FY2026 March increased to 349.4 billion yen (YoY +2%). Contributions came from the new consolidation of the Tokuyama Life Science (TLS) Group and increased sales of semiconductor-related products. Operating income rose to 37.0 billion yen (YoY +24%) due mainly to improvements in manufacturing costs and increased sales of semiconductor-related products. Net income attributable to owners of parent was 22.2 billion yen (YoY -5%), affected by deterioration in extraordinary income and losses. The equity ratio declined to 50.8% (YoY -4.1pt) but total assets increased to 557.4 billion yen, thanks to the new consolidation of the TLS Group.

Segment Performance and Future Outlook

By segment, Electronic Advanced Materials performed well with net sales of 91.6 billion yen (YoY +5%) and operating income of 15.6 billion yen (YoY +64%). The Cement business also posted year-over-year increases in both sales and profits. Life Science recorded steady net sales of 49.3 billion yen. The earnings guidance and dividend forecast for FY2027 March remain undecided due to uncertainties including geopolitical situations in the Middle East. However, the shareholder return policy targets DOE of 3% or higher and a dividend payout ratio of 30% or more. The medium-term management plan briefing is scheduled for May 29, 2026.
