At the Board of Directors meeting on April 22, 2026, Nippon Beet Sugar Manufacturing Co., Ltd. resolved to change its trade name to Nitten Co., Ltd., subject to approval of a partial amendment to the Articles of Incorporation at the 128th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on June 26, 2026. The change is scheduled to take effect on October 1, 2026.

Reason and Background for the Trade Name Change

Having contributed for over 100 years since its founding to the stable supply of domestic sugar through sugar beet and the development of agriculture in Hokkaido, the company leverages its expertise in sugar manufacturing to diversify into food, feed, and agricultural materials businesses. The trade name change is to signify the leap from the 'sugar beet sugar business' to a sustainable 'sugar beet industry' under the second medium-term management plan.
