Overview of Operating Results

For the first quarter of fiscal year ending October 2026, consolidated net sales increased 1.6% year-over-year to 15,333 million yen; however, operating income decreased 6.8% to 1,672 million yen, and ordinary income also declined 6.5% to 1,687 million yen. Net income attributable to owners of the parent decreased 10.3% to 1,110 million yen. Both the machinery manufacturing and sales business and the chemical industrial products sales business maintained solid sales, but an increase in selling, general and administrative expenses, mainly due to personnel costs, was the primary cause of profit decline. Segment-wise, sales of the machinery manufacturing and sales business were 4,512 million yen (5.6% increase YoY), while the chemical industrial products sales business was largely flat at 10,820 million yen.

Financial Position and Dividend Status

Total assets were 54,430 million yen, net assets were 42,251 million yen, and the equity ratio rose 1.8 points YoY to 77.6%. The number of shares issued remained unchanged at 29,949,600 shares. Dividends are forecasted at 36 yen for the fiscal year ending October 2026 year-end, with an annual dividend forecast of 72 yen.
